Ice storm in Houston

We were promised snow for sure,
but it came down as rain.
Froze as soon as it hit the ground.

Do to bad driving conditions,
we are all stuck in the house.
The same are few million others
just here in Texas.

Schools are out,
and most businesses are closed.

Just the other day I sat here on the veranda
outside my work room
and enjoyed the warm weather,
and today it has not been above freezing,
quite weird...

I am working on a few new things.
It just seams like I get stuck towards the end
when I have just a few rows left to finish it.
So maybe I will take advantage of the cold weather,
get the fire going on the fireplace...
My husband is making Chilli,
yum, - I can smell it....

Have a nice weekend!

Hi Randi,
Hope you stay warm in this unusual weather we are having. Your pics look like ours except for the snow. It hit us on Tuesday and school has been closed all week. Lar's work closed all week too in Plano. Last night we had 3 more inches of snow on top the ice that was already here. It is bitter cold and predicted for a wintry mix on Sunday.
The roads are awful and wreaks all over. We've had rolling blackouts all around us.

Stay warm my friend and enjoy your time indoors. Hellos to all.
Love to you, Celestina Marie

Wonderful, chilly (and Chilli) days for knitting. Strange weather, but time to make lemonade out of lemons, right? Nothing a Norwegian gal can't handle. HA!
