I found these weird looking bugs in the yard.
The first is some kind of a "double decker" dragonfly,
or maybe an Air Plane "flagg'er"..
He was about 3" long.

My husband just called and told me
"It's a grass hopper!"
Wow, quite a size for a grass hopper,
body about 4-5" long....
Et par rare insekter fra hagen.
Den øverste, en slags øyenstikker,
ca.6 cm lang,
den nederste en stor gresshopper.
Kun kroppen på denne var ca. 10-12 cm lang!

That's a HUGE grasshopper. I don't think I've ever seen one so big!
AH, that's the same bug/dragonfly I found in my little garden spot!
The dragonfly looks very much like a genus around here called Libellula, though we don't have that exact species. That grasshopper is GIGANTIC!
